SpoolForge is the intelligent piping prefabrication material allocation engine built for oil & gas and petrochemical plant construction. From isometric drawing extraction to shop fabrication release — every spool, every joint, every piece of material is tracked, allocated, and accounted for with zero manual effort.

On every large piping project, the same disaster plays out. Hundreds of isometric drawings. Thousands of spools. Tens of thousands of individual material line items — pipes, fittings, flanges, gaskets, bolts, valves. All tracked on spreadsheets that are always wrong, always out of date, and always the source of the argument that delays the job.
Shop supervisors don't know which spools have complete material. Procurement can't see what's genuinely short versus what's been incorrectly allocated. Fabrication starts on wrong spools while the right ones sit waiting. Material shortages aren't discovered until the spool is on the bench. SpoolForge eliminates every one of these failure modes.
SpoolForge's allocation engine doesn't just track material — it applies configurable logic to make the right allocation decision for every spool, every time.
Upload isometric drawings or import the bill of materials directly. SpoolForge reads the MTO line items — pipe diameter, schedule, material grade, fitting types, flange ratings, valve tags, and insulation requirements — and creates the spool material requirement register automatically.
Goods received from procurement are posted into the SpoolForge warehouse register with heat number, certificate reference, quantity, physical location, and condition. The system maintains a live stock balance for every material class and size.
The engine applies configurable priority rules — critical path spools first, then by fabrication sequence, then by size or line priority. Available stock is reserved against each spool requirement. Partial allocations are flagged as material-short with exact shortage quantity and expected delivery date.
Only when all material items for a spool are confirmed allocated — and QC clearance is received — does the system issue a Fabrication Release Certificate (FRC). The shop supervisor cannot start without a valid FRC, preventing incomplete fabrication entirely.
Shop welders record joint completion, dimensional check, and NDT submission against each spool. Weld numbers are assigned sequentially. RT/UT results are logged and linked to the welder qualification record. Rejected joints trigger automatic re-weld work order generation.
Completed spools are transferred to field erection with a signed dispatch record. Field supervisors confirm installation and tie-in weld completion. The system updates physical progress, feeds the PPMS dashboard, and generates completion certificates for each line number.
14 purpose-built modules covering the complete piping prefabrication workflow — from MTO extraction to final field tie-in confirmation.
Upload isometric drawings and import material take-off data directly. The system registers all material requirements per spool with line number, service, P&ID reference, and revision control. Design changes trigger automatic MTO revision alerts.
Post goods received against purchase orders with heat numbers, mill certificates, quantity, and physical storage location. Real-time stock balance maintained per material class, size, schedule, and grade. Certificate management and expiry tracking built in.
Configurable priority-based allocation logic matches available warehouse stock to spool requirements automatically. Partial allocations, split batches, and multiple heat number combinations are handled intelligently. Re-runs triggered on every goods receipt or priority change.
Shortages are identified at the moment of allocation — not at fabrication. Automatic shortage tickets are generated with material code, quantity required, quantity available, and linked purchase order reference. Procurement team receives instant notification with expected delivery tracking.
System-generated FRC issued only when all material items for a spool are confirmed allocated, NDT cleared, and supervisor approved. The FRC contains the full material list with heat numbers, weld procedure references, and fabricator assignment. Digital sign-off workflow included.
Welders and fabricators record joint completion, fit-up check, weld completion, and dimensional inspection against each spool in real time. Daily production counts, welder productivity metrics, and shop loading charts are generated automatically for supervisors and project managers.
Every weld joint is tracked through radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), dye penetrant (DPI), and hydrostatic testing as applicable. Results are logged against joint, welder, and procedure. Repair rates and defect patterns are analysed automatically to identify welder performance issues early.
Full material traceability from mill certificate through warehouse receipt, allocation, and installation. Every pipe cut and fitting used in a spool is linked to its source heat number. Traceability reports can be generated for any spool, line, or system at any time — client audit-ready in minutes.
Record spool transfer from shop to field with dispatch note, transport details, and field supervisor receipt confirmation. Track field erection progress — fit-up, alignment, tack weld, final weld, and tie-in completion. Field weld joint numbers assigned and linked back to the spool record.
Optimise pipe cutting sequences to minimise offcut waste. The nesting module generates cutting lists that batch pipes of the same size and schedule together, maximising stock utilisation. Offcut register tracks remaining pieces available for reuse, reducing unnecessary procurement.
Track completion status at line number and piping system level. When all spools in a line are erected, inspected, and NDT cleared, the system generates a Line Completion Certificate (LCC) for handover to the pre-commissioning team. Punch list items are tracked and cleared within the same workflow.
SpoolForge feeds piping progress data directly into Tbeem PPMS — spool fabrication %, field erection %, NDT completion, and joint counts all update the PPMS dashboard automatically. No double entry. Both systems stay perfectly synchronised.
Generate Fabrication Release Certificates, Weld History Reports, Material Traceability Reports, Shortage Lists, Cutting Lists, NDT Summary Reports, and Line Completion Certificates at the click of a button. All formatted and ready for client or third-party inspector submission.
When engineering issues a revised isometric, SpoolForge compares the new MTO against the current allocation. Added items trigger new shortage checks. Removed items release reserved stock back to the warehouse. Spools in fabrication at time of revision are flagged for supervisor review.
